Non-profit leadership is heart-centered work – it is demanding, meaningful, and often lonely. Many leaders carry so much: care and responsibility for people, for mission, for culture, and for the quiet, unseen work of holding everything together. With so many competing needs, it can feel nearly impossible to carve out time for yourself.

The most important skills for leadership are groundedness and alignment – with your sense of self, your leadership approach, your values, your wisdom, and your strengths. You are not meant to know everything. You are not meant to hold everything. And we should never feel like we have to.

Leaders in Connection (LinC) is a monthly facilitated space designed to help leaders deepen connection with themselves and each other, so they can show up with greater clarity, integrity, and care for their teams and the missions they serve. It is a place to slow down, to feel held, and to remember that leadership is not about having all the answers. Leadership is about how we show up – with care, presence, and purpose. How we show up will shift from day to day; what matters is that we stay connected to who we are and what we believe in.

Leaders in Connection is a monthly gathering space for non-profits leaders of small to mid‑sized non‑profits (under $3 million), and grassroots groups (with some funding), who:

  • want to feel less alone in their leadership
  • are seeking a community of practice that honours both the challenges and the possibilities of this work
  • want to deepen their leadership to feel more value-aligned, hopefuly, and sustainable

If this interests you and you are uncertain if this space is for you, email taashi@groundingsolutions.ca. and let’s talk it through together.

Program Facilitator

Taashi Gupta (they/them)

I’ve spent the last few years healing and reconnecting with the practices that ground me, to recover from burn out as an Executive Director. What has sustained me most is deepening my embodiment and sense of community. As a Trans leader of colour, I often lacked spaces where I could feel safe and supported, which made the journey even more isolating. That’s why I created a program that brings leaders – especially BIPOC and 2SLGBTQIA+ leaders – together to feel resourced, connected, and hopeful about shifting our cultures toward our shared values.

What does it cost?

LinC is offered in the spirit of community care and generosity. We ask you to contribute what you can to participate. We have offered a simple sliding scale guide below to support your decision. If the low end of the scale still represents a financial barrier, feel free to pay what you choose.

The suggested minimum is the cost of a nice meal ($20 – $75/session).

If you register to attend all sessions, the suggested cost is $75 – $300.

Consider contributing MORE on the scale if:

  • Your organization has dedicated budgets to cover professional development or conference attendance
  • You comfortably meet your basic needs
  • You benefit from social or economic privilege (e.g. education, race, gender, class)

Consider contributing LESS on the scale if:

  • You cannot afford time off due to financial constraints
  • Your organization is led by/for BIPOC communities, 2SLGBTQIA+ communities, newcomers, working class communities, and/or disabled communities
  • You struggle to meet basic expenses or have significant debt
  • You cannot afford time off due to financial constraints

This sliding scale is inspired by AORTA and the “Green Bottle” sliding scale model by Alexis J. Cunningfolk.

No Refunds. You can transfer your registration to a future gathering. Please let us know by email at taashi@groundingsolutions.ca.
